Puff’s revenge

Puff, the magic dragon lived by the sea
And frolicked in the autumn mist in a land called Honahlee
Little Jackie paper loved that rascal puff
And brought him strings and sealing wax and other fancy stuff oh

Together they would travel on a boat with billowed sail
Jackie kept a lookout perched on puff's gigantic tail
Noble kings and princes would bow whene'er they came
Pirate ships would lower their flag when puff roared out his name oh

A dragon lives forever but not so little boys
Painted wings and giant rings make way for other toys
One grey night it happened, Jackie Paper came no more
And puff that mighty dragon, he ceased his fearless roar

His head was bent in sorrow, green scales fell like rain
Puff no longer went to play along the cherry lane
Without his life-long friend, puff could not be brave
So Puff that mighty dragon sadly slipped into his cave oh

---

Puff was sad and lonely, as the years slowly went by
In his cave among his fallen scales he slept, so shy
But then one day a sound outside the cave
Awoke the mighty dragon, was there a child to save?

He turned his head, and there she stood
A tiny warrior princess, mighty in her maidenhood
And Puff, the magic dragon, was suddenly revived
And into the adventures, together, they happily dived

A fearsome couple, the dragon and the little girl
The pirates fled, the kings offered gold, and one a huge black pearl
And once again Puff could roar his name with pride
His green scales soon re-grew, as the princess played by his side

For times may change and children grow,
And when the dragon is alone time will move so slow
But Puff, the magic dragon, will always be there, ready, in his cave
And is there but a fearless child to guide him, Puff will always be brave
